
Food and Beverage Supervisor at The Sebastian Vail
The Food and Beverage Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food and beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high standards of service, and promoting a positive team culture. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for hospitality and a strong understanding of food and beverage management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, ensuring adherence to quality standards, proper service protocols, and guest satisfaction
- Lead, train, and motivate the food and beverage team, providing guidance to ensure exceptional service delivery and fostering a positive work environment
- Engage with guests to anticipate their needs, address concerns, and ensure a memorable dining experience. Promote a welcoming atmosphere
- Assist with inventory tracking, ordering supplies, and managing costs to maintain budgetary goals while ensuring the availability of high-quality food and beverage offerings
- Collaborate with chefs and management to develop, update, and promote seasonal menus and special events that reflect market trends and guest preferences
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization in accordance with established standards
- Create staff schedules in accordance with business needs and labor laws, optimizing coverage during peak and off-peak times
- Assist in analyzing and reporting on sales, labor, and operational costs to support effective decision-making and strategy development
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in food and beverage management or supervisory role in a hotel or restaurant setting
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
