Resort Beverage Manager at The Sebastian Vail

Job Summary:

The Sebastian Vail is seeking a dynamic and experienced Beverage Manager to oversee the beverage operations of our luxury resort. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for guest service, a deep knowledge of beverages, and a proven track record in managing beverage programs in a high-end resort or hotel setting. This role involves the development, execution, and management of all beverage-related services, ensuring an exceptional experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee all aspects of beverage operations across the resort, including bars, lounges, in-room dining, and special events.

- Develop and implement innovative beverage programs that align with the resort’s brand and guest expectations, ensuring a unique and memorable experience.

- Create and maintain a diverse and high-quality beverage menu, including wines, spirits, craft cocktails, and non-alcoholic options, and ensure proper pricing strategies are in place.

- Lead, train, and inspire the beverage staff, fostering a positive and collaborative environment that encourages growth and development.

- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and manage ordering of all beverage supplies while maintaining budgetary constraints.

- Establish and uphold high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety in all beverage areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

- Collaborate with the culinary team to create signature drink pairings that complement menu offerings and enhance guests' dining experiences.

- Engage with guests to promote beverage offerings, receive feedback, and cultivate lasting relationships.

- Analyze beverage sales data to identify trends, manage costs, and maximize profitability while delivering exceptional service.

- Plan and execute beverage-themed events, tastings, and promotions to enhance guest engagement and drive revenue.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in beverage management within a luxury hotel or resort environment.

- Extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixology, with certifications in bartending or sommelier programs strongly preferred.

- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.

- Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management and inventory control.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
