Assistant Director of Sales at The Sebastian Vail

Job Summary:

The Sebastian Vail is seeking a passionate and results-driven Assistant Director of Sales to join our dynamic team. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of Sales and Marketing in developing and executing effective sales strategies to maximize revenue for our luxury hotel and resort. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional interpersonal abilities, and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry.Key Responsibilities:

   - Collaborate with the Director of Sales to create and implement effective sales strategies that align with the hotel’s revenue goals.

   - Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.

   - Assist in managing and motivating the sales team to achieve individual and team goals.

   - Provide training and mentorship to sales staff to enhance their skills and performance.

   - Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, event planners, and key accounts to drive repeat business and referrals.

   - Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to represent The Sebastian Vail and build connections.

   - Oversee the preparation of proposals, contracts, and event orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to the hotel’s standards.

   - Monitor sales performance and metrics, tracking progress against established targets.

   - Work closely with other departments, including Marketing, Catering, and Guest Services, to ensure seamless service delivery and enhance guest experiences.

   - Collaborate with the revenue management team to optimize pricing strategies and inventory management.

   - Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for the management team, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

   - Assist in forecasting revenue and identifying trends to inform strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preffered

- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with sales software

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
