Position Overview:
The Assistant Resort Front Office Manager will support the Front Office Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the front desk and ensuring that all guest services meet the highest standards of quality and satisfaction. This role requires exceptional leadership, strong communication skills, and a passion for providing outstanding service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Front Office Manager in managing front office operations, including guest check-in and check-out, reservations, and concierge services.
- Supervise front desk staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management to ensure a high level of service and professionalism.
- Foster a positive team environment, encouraging open communication and collaboration among staff.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and manage room inventory and availability, while ensuring accurate and efficient handling of bookings and billing processes.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of hotel policies, procedures, and services, as well as local attractions and activities, to provide informed recommendations to guests.
- Implement and uphold standards for cleanliness, organization, and professionalism in the front office area.
- Assist in developing and executing departmental budgets, forecasts, and reports to meet financial objectives.
- Participate in regular meetings with other department managers to coordinate operations and enhance overall guest experience.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve front office operations and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hotel front office or guest services role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and mentor staff.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- Knowledge of the Vail area and its offerings is a plus.
